Life...

First the Bad...
Well, there are some big changes brewing in my personal life right now, and as a result I have decided to resign from digi-design.  I can't go into any details, perhaps eventually but it is just personal stuff that I would like to keep that way for now.  Please don't worry for me, change it good right?  I just want to thank everyone for being so supportive, especially my CT, they were there for me and very understanding (even if my return to the digi world was very short lived, lol).  Ah well...

Now the Good...
Since I will no longer be selling digital products I still wanted to make my stuff available to anyone who is interested so (slowly) I will be adding links to my blog for anyone to download for free!  YIPPEE!!!!  And in the future, if I design stuff for myself personally I will be sure to share with you all as well.

I only ask a few very simple things...

1.  That you do not share the download links or downloaded products with anyone directly, please direct people to my blog to download for themselves.

2.  That you use my products for PERSONAL USE ONLY unless you have purchased a "Scrap For Hire" license that I will make available soon.

3.  DO NOT share, sell, redistribute or claim as your own.  All LWD products are protected by "International Artist Copyright Laws".

Thank You!!!
PS... I would just like to thank Nancie and all the girls at ScrapArtist for being so very supportive.  SA is truly a class act and I was so proud that I got to be a part of it.  All the best to them!!!  XOXO!!

Artsy, Fartsy'ing Around...

Just wanted to share some tid bits of what I have been working on.  I recently took a watercolor course locally and was able to obtain some really good quality watercolors and brushes (who knew brushes could be so expensive, geesh).  But I learned some really great techniques and styles which you have probably already noticed in a few of my products.  What I really enjoyed from the watercolor course was learning to blend colors and enrich the edges of my sketches or doodles.  Kinda like you would using the burn tool in photoshop.  I also learned to creating bleeding and feathering effect with the watercolors.... ohhhh I really enjoyed that.  It is a little wild though and not sure if I am going to incorporate it into my products, well see, lol!  Another good thing I learned was choosing the right paper for the right project.  I love the texture of some of the papers, just beautiful, but for creating smooth doodles I fell in love with the "Hot Press" papers.  Also I have been doing lots of sketches and working on improving my doodling.

Paints  Chicks1

Recognize those little chicks, lol.  Hand made with love.

One tool I discovered at the watercolor retreat was "Art Maskingfluid Masking Fluid".  This stuff is AWESOME.  What you do is sketch out or doodle your lines, then paint with Masking Fluid the parts you want to keep white, wait to dry then paint the rest of your sketch, right over top of the masking fluid.  It works sooooo great.  After you are finished painting, you put a bit of masking fluid in your hand to create a rubber ball, then use the little rubber ball to lift the masking fluid off the paper.  It stretches like a rubber band and peels up with no mark, just beautiful white paper.  Ahhhhh.... I already have millions of ideas for background papers in my head.  So much to do and so little time to do it.

Last but not least here is a sneak peek at a new alpha doodle collection I am creating.  I know, I know... more alphas?  LOL, I am actually working on a layout for my eldest about his iPod and favorite things and needed some kinda of "freestyle" lettering.  So I figured while I was at it, might as well create an alpha set.  This one will be a little bit different from my last as I am including the white doodle set along with the water colored set and I made a brush set from the doodle outlines themselves.  I figured they could be used to create your own custom alphas as well by masking to the letters and applying the doodle outline with a brush over top.  Lots of possibilities there.  I love brushes, so versatile and can be use soooo many different ways.  They really are a designers best tool.

Doodles

Well, that is about all I have to share for now.  Have a super great weekend everyone!

And check out these incredible Hybrid projects by Rebecca (aka Denali) using Shabby Chic.  Absolutely wonderful stuff.  She created some little gift packages, some cards, so pretty.  Love that little bag with the flower and clip - perfect Rebecca!

I love B&W kits, so versatile.  They can be used for formal photos (like weddings, etc) but B&W co-ordinates with everything as well.  Everyone should have a great B&W kit, and the elements in Shabby Chic don't dissapoint.

Ahhh... young love!

Wi Last night I finally watched Twilight, I have been wanting to see this movie for a while now and YEAH, it was good.  You can't help but melt into the penetrating gaze of Robert Pattinson, and feel the emotion of this young girl who has fallen head over heels in love.  Sweet movie, even with the vampire stuff, it isn't overwhelming.  So if you are into romance and a little bit of fantasy, I highly recommend!  I can't wait for the next one!

800wi OK, so I jumped on the band wagon and joined "Twitter".  I am not a big fan of these social sites but I thought it would be fun to try to.... keep up, lol!  What I can't understand is what is the difference between the facebook feed and the twitter feed.  Are they not the same thing?  Ah well, if you are curious to try it out, or you want to follow me click HERE and sign up.   My Twitter alias is "EclecticMommy".

Pounding Pain...

Gosh, how easy it is to forget how much an ear-ache hurts.  I have been struggling with a cold/sinus infection for over a week now and yesterday morning a tiny pounding in my ear started creeping in.  Tonight however, OMG, full blown pounding and pressure.  Like a hammer banging against a metal sheet, loud and painful, not to mention the ringing, like loud white noise.  And yes, it is very painful, ouch!  This morning I was lucky enough to get into my Dr's office and he said "it looks ugly" (the inside of my ear that is) so he prescribed some antibiotics as I have some beautiful white patches on my tonsils as well (lovely).  He also prescribed some ear drops and Nasonex.  I hate Nasonex.  Anyway, just popping on to tell you I will probably be laying low tomorrow, hoping that between the Tylenol and IBProfin, I will have some pain control.

Hugs and I hope you are all feeling much better,
LoveLisaXOXO

My Sweet Lexi

SweetLexi Just wanted so share a pic of my Sweet Lexi Girl.  Such a good girl, so gentle and patient and listens really well, we couldn't ask for a more loyal or loving pup.

I think she is a little bummed that I have been working on the MAC so much these days and not paying attention to her, but she snoozes right at my feet just waiting for love.

Truly the best girl ever!

xoxo

Shhhhhh....

Gonna share a tiny secret, I am designing again, YIPPEE!!!

Also the project I have been working on the past several months has been my new home based business currently serving our community.   I am providing photo/digital services of all kinds including repairs, enhancements, blow-ups, DVD/CD and Media events and I am even creating Wall Art.  I don't want to go into too much of that yet as I am currently setting up a little website with all the information etc. and will share when it is all complete.

What I am really excited about is of course is that I have gone back to what made me fall in love with digital design in the first place, creating with paints and textures.  My newest obsession is working with watercolors, and I have to say I am having a blast, and of course dabbling in doodling and creating digi tools as well.  Here is just a sneak peek of what I have been working on...

Plus several other items in the works as well... I can't wait for you to see them.  Well I think I may have spilled a little bit too much so shhhhhhhhh...  Tenative date for release is April 1st (and no, this is no April fools), lol!

Hugs,

Birthday Happiness...

Mike7 Well, we have had two special birthdays at our house the past couple of weeks.  Our Mike has turned 7 and our Alex has turned 10.  They are definitely not my "little" guys anymore.  Yikes, I can't believe how the time has flown.  I could not be more proud of the personalities they are becoming.  They are so very different from each other (polar opposites really) but both genuine loving little souls.

Happy Birthday to my Handsome "little" Men!

Love you!!!!
